Submission Guidelines

Your submission may not be considered if you do not observe the following guidelines.

All submissions must be blinded, i.e. your name must appear nowhere in the document. Please attach the files to the e-mail, rather than sending a link to Google Drive or Dropbox.

In order to get a better sense of how your lived experience impacts your work, you are welcome (but not required) to include information about your identity such as cultural background, gender, sexual orientation or dis/ability. Please be aware that this context may be shared with our editorial board, at our discretion, if more context is relevant in discussing your work. Acta Victoriana encourages intersectionally marginalized artists to submit to us, and we work hard to share content highlighting diverse voices.


  • Times New Roman font, size twelve
  • limit 2500 words
  • limit three per writer
  • Word file (.doc) or (.docx). No .pdf files please.

  • for written or visual work, please follow the guidelines above
    • no word count or line count (please note longer submissions will require a longer response time)
  • animation, audio and any/all other mediums are welcome
  • please enter "BLOG SUBMISSION" in the subject line of the submission email
  • limit three works per submission in any combination of mediums
  • limit one submission per every three-month period
